This guide instructs you to use Widows Password Rescuer Personal to recover Windows XP password with USB Drive. The following steps give you a quick start guide that recover Windows password without old Windows password. Using Windows Password Rescuer Professional/Advanced to recover Windows 7/Vista/2000 password is just like this guide.

Now let's start:
Step 1: Download and install Windows Password Rescuer Personal on another computer you have access to.
Step 2: Use Windows Password Rescuer Personal to create a Windows password recovery disk with USB Drive.
Step 3: Set your computer to boot from USB Drive.
Step 4: Reset Windows XP passwrod by a few clicks.

Step 1: Download and install Windows Password Rescuer Personal on another computer you have access to.
You can download WIndows Password Rescuer Personal trial version ( to view the user list and attempt to add new user ) or after purchasing the software, download the full version ( to reset unknown password and add new user ) by a link from your email box, and then install it in any available computer. So you need another computer you have access to and a blank USB Flash Drive.
Note: If you want to install Windows Password Rescuer in Vista, Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008, you'd better run installation program as administrator.

Step 2: Use Windows Password Rescuer Personal to create a Windows password recovery disk with USB Drive.
1. Insert a blank USB Drive, launch Windows Password Rescuer Personal and choose "Burn to USB".

2. Select the USB drive which you just inserted, it is "E:\" in this example.

3. Click "Burn" button to start burning.

4. If your USB Drive is not blank, it will be formated. Click "Yes" to continue.

5. The burning process starts, it will take you about one minute for burning.

6. The burning successfully completed, click "OK" and close the window, eject your USB Drive.


Step 3: Set your computer to boot from USB drive.
1. Insert newly created Windows password recovery USB Drive to your locked computer.
2. Restart the computer and press "BIOS Entry Key" like F2/Delete immediately until the BIOS SETUP screen appears.
3. Looking for a tab relating to booting in the BIOS SETUP screen, it is called "Boot" in this example. You can use ←/→ key to access it. Press Enter key, and you'll see a submenu that's specific to how the PC Drive boots sequence.

4. Use ↓/↑key to select "Hard Disk Drives", hit "Enter".

5. Use ↓/↑key to select "1st Drive", hit "Enter" key.

6. Select the "USB: your USB brand", and press "Enter" key to Set the USB Flash drive as the first bootable option.

7. Then you can see USB Drive in the first boot site.

8. When you done the operations, press "F10" to save and exit. Select "OK" and press "Enter" key, then the computer will reboot and boot from USB Drive.

Note: There are some differences in different PC BIOS, here is another example: please refer to How to set computer to boot from USB in PhonixBIOS for step by step instruction.

Step 4: Reset Windows XP passwrod by a few clicks.
1. After inserting the USB Drive and successfully setting your computer to boot from USB Drive, Windows Password Rescuer Personal will start up.

2. For a moment, Windows Password Rescuer will display a friendly operation window.Select a Windows system(If you have installed more than one WIndows system) you want to reset its user password.

3. Select a user ( here select Administrator ) you want to reset its passwrod and click "Reset Password".

4. When a message pops up, click "Yes" to confirm setting the password to blank.

5. After successfully resetting the administrator password, click "Reboot" botton.

6. Take out your USB Drive and click "Yes" to restart your computer. Then you can log on your computer as Administrator without password.

7. Congratulations! Now you can via Control Panel to create a new password for your Administrator account if you need.


Now you can instantly recover windows password:
